How to get an accurate printing quote in one go
The details a printer needs to price packaging, print or corporate gifts right the first time, and what you can expect in the quote Jais Brandworks sends.

“How much for paper cups with our logo?” sounds like a simple question. The honest answer is “it depends”, which isn’t what anyone wants to hear. A printed cup’s price depends on the size, the wall, the number of colours and more. Without those details, a printer either guesses or comes back with five questions.
Here’s what to include so you get an accurate quote the first time.
The six things a printer needs
1. What the product is
Be as specific as you can. “Paper cups” could be 8 oz single-wall for tea or 16 oz double-wall for coffee. “Boxes” could be a pizza box or a magnetic gift box. If you’re not sure of the right name, a photo of something similar is perfect.
Not sure which product you need? These guides help: napkins, cups, paper bags, delivery packaging.
2. Size
For boxes and bags, the inside dimensions or what goes in them. For cups, the volume. For print, the paper size (A4, A5, a visiting card).
3. Quantity
How many you need now. If you expect to reorder, mention it. It’s also fine to ask for two or three quantities in one quote to compare.
4. Print colours
How many colours are in your logo or design, and whether it prints on one side or both. A one-colour logo, a two-colour logo and a full-colour photo are priced differently. If a colour must match your brand exactly, say so. There’s more on this in how to prepare your logo for print.
5. Material and finish
Kraft or white, the paper weight if you know it, and any finish like lamination, foil or embossing. If you don’t know, tell us the feel you want (“sturdy”, “premium”, “simple”) and we’ll suggest.
6. Where it’s going
The delivery city and country. We deliver across India and worldwide, and freight outside Mumbai is quoted separately.
A good request, and a quick one
A detailed request looks like this:
Hi, we run a café in Pune. We need 12 oz double-wall cups for hot coffee with our logo in one colour (brown on white), and kraft SOS bags for pastries, about 20 × 12 cm, logo on both sides. Logo attached.
A quick one looks like this:
Hi, here’s our logo and a photo of our counter. We need cups, napkins and a takeaway bag. What would you suggest?
Both work. With the first, we can quote straight away. With the second, we come back with suggestions and a few questions, then quote. Either way, you don’t need to know the technical terms.
We reply with suggestions and a mockup.
What you get back from us
When you send a request to Jais Brandworks, here’s what to expect:
- A quote within one working day. For Indian clients it’s in rupees with GST shown.
- A mockup of your logo on each product, made by our designer at no cost.
- Everything on one quote. Cups, bags, napkins, boxes and printed menus together, with one GST invoice at the end.
- The delivery date, confirmed once you approve the mockup.
- Room to change things. Adjust sizes, colours or quantities as often as you like until it’s right.
You can also build a list on the site first. Add products to your quote from any product page, or try your logo on them in the Try-On, then send the whole list at once.
Before you compare quotes
If you’re comparing printers, make sure you’re comparing the same thing: the same size, material, number of colours and finish. Also check what’s included. A free artwork setup, a mockup and a reorder process that keeps your files can save more time than a small difference in price.
